Amazon Favorites: Hygiene & Grooming

We LOVE Amazon and have found some really helpful and inexpensive tools and products for doggy hygiene and grooming! We have used a lot of different stuff since having our fur babies, so we wanted to do some of the trial and error work for you! A few of our favorites on the list are pictured below with a description of why we love them! Enjoy!

undercoat rake

This is a must-have for shedding control! Aussies have a double coat, so they grow an undercoat when the weather starts to cool down, which they will lose when the weather begins to warm up! We use our undercoat rake a few times a week at the end of winter or beginning os spring, when we see shedding start to pick up. This is a great way to get the undercoat out when and where YOU want it to, rather than just all the time, everywhere! Click to view on Amazon.

nail grinder

This is one of the best products I have found. The worst part about trimming our dogs’ nails with clippers is that the edges are left so sharp! Our Aussies are very affectionate and love to give us hugs when they greet us or when they play, so when we’ve got sharp nails scratching us up, it’s a terrible feeling!! This is SUCH an easy fix. We clip the nails if they are long, but can even just use the grinder if they are short and don’t need much length taken off. We use the grinder to smooth out their nails and it works like a dream! 10/10 would recommend! Click to view on Amazon.

Shampoo

This brand has the yummiest smelling products!! This is my favorite scent. The shampoo is a concentrate, so a little goes a long way if you use it as-is, but you could put it in a hand pump and mix with water and it will last you even longer! This is great for dry skin, as well. Click to view on Amazon.

baby wipes

Trust me, baby wipes are so much less expensive than wipes that are marketed for dogs, but they work just the same. These are so helpful for us when we go on long trips. We can use these to clean up messy paws, stinky bottoms, and anything else, It’s an easy way to clean up small messes and so simple to just keep a pack in your car! Click to view on Amazon.
